My Beauty Essentials
Everyone has their beauty essentials; those things they can't live without. I thought it was about time I share mine. I don't like to say I am a product whore, but let's face it I am. I am always looking for the newer better thing. I have tried probably 80% of the beauty products out there, but time and time again I keep going back to my essentials; the foundations of my beauty regiment.
1. Clarasonic.
When this little beauty came out I jump on it. I don't have the best skin, so anything that can help prevent me from breaking out I am in. Trust me when I say it is worth the price tag. You will notice a different right away. Even if I go without using it for a few days I can tell the difference. My skin is so much softer and clearing I couldn't live without it.
2. Proactiv.
Growing up I did not have good skin and when I say I didn't have good skin I don't mean a zit here and there. I tried everything to clear up my skin. Nothing worked. Finally I broke down and got what I thought was a completely hoaz. Honestly I thought this was just another stupid product advertised on TV. Thank the Lord I was wrong. It was right before my senior prom when I started using it. I am now 27 and I wouldn't go a day without it.
3. Spin the Bottle by Essie.
Everyone needs a nude nail polish and this one is mine. It matches my skin tone perfectly and is my go to when I need to paint my nail in a hurry.
4. Nars Blush in Orgasm.
If you haven't heard of Nars Orgasm you are living under a rock. With all the hype I figured it had to be good right? And it is. The gold flecks in the perfectly pink blush add the perfect highlight effect to my cheeks.
5. Clinque Laser Repair Serum
We should all know by now that a serum should be part of our beauty regiment. Everyone has there favorite and this one is mine. I have heard mix reviews about this laser repair, but I swear by it. I have tried a million serums thinking something must be better if it had such mix reviews, but somehow I always come back to this. Wrinkles, large pores, refinishing it does it all and I love it.
6. Rimmel Lipstick 001 by Kate Moss.
It took me a long time to find this beauty, but I finally found my favorite red lipstick. I tried lipstick after lipstick, but somehow I could not find the right shade. The shade that brightens your whole completion and leaves your teeth looking pearly white. Total fluke I discovered Rimmel Lipstick 001 and now I wouldn't bother trying any other.
7. Revlon Just Bitten in Victoria
For those days I want to go natural with my makeup (Which is more just me being late and not having time to do a full face of makeup) this is my go to lip color. Perfectly natural looking it fits with almost any skin tone.
8. Coconut Oil.
Coconut oil might seem like just another craze like kale or quinoa, but give me something that replaces half my products budget and I am sold. Makeup remover, lotion, bath oil, deep hair conditioner I use it for everything. Craze or not Coconut oil can stay on my shelf as long as it likes.
9. Neosporin.
In my family Neosporin was like windex to the greeks in my "Big Fat Greek Wedding." Still to this day I swear by it. Mostly for it's zip zapping abilities. If you start to feel a pimple coming on put some Neosporin on it cover it with a band-aid over night (super sexy I know,) but by the morning trust me its worth looking a little ridiculous for one night.
10. Corn Starch
Corn Starch is another house hold product that I use for multiple things. Don't bother spending money on a powder to set your foundation...... Corn Starch!!! I starting using this as powder and I will never go back.
11. Peroxide
Teeth Whitening is Expensive! Even the over the counter products are extremely expensive and make my teeth very sensitive. I had heard about swishing peroxide after you brush you teeth, so I thought I would give it a try. Never will I go back. My teeth have never been so white without any of the pain.
Don't waste your money on expensive stripes this is all you need.
